Jesus wants them to understand the truth of who he is. "Who do you say that I am?" Peter knows the truth. Somehow the heavenly Father communicated this to Peter. He is then given an overwhelming power to explain the truth. Through the pope, Peter speaks to us through the power of Jesus. How do we communicate truth to the people around us? What do we do? How do we entertain ourselves? What kind of books do we have in our family? If you don't read you cannot become a saint. Do we eat together as a family? At those meals do we talk about the truth? Do we pray? Do we teach others to pray? Do we go to mass?... Bringing the truth into the lives of the people around us by how we live.
